Sponsors make Reelin’ for Research possible. Your partnership helps fund groundbreaking childhood cancer research at UNC Children’s Hospital while giving your brand meaningful exposure at one of the East Coast’s premier charity fishing tournaments.

Since 2009, this event has raised more than $8.3 million to support pediatric cancer research and treatment. It brings together over 80 boats, hundreds of anglers, and more than 800 attendees each year, all united by one mission: to end childhood cancer.

Reelin’ for Research combines community, compassion, and competition. Sponsors receive broad visibility across print, digital, and on-site channels, including tournament signage, social media, website placements, and event materials.

Only 4–8% of federal cancer funding supports pediatric cancers.

A drawing on a piece of paper taped to a glass window depicts a rainbow with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple bands, a gold awareness ribbon in front of the rainbow, and five red hearts.

Just seven cancer medications have been approved specifically for children in the past 30 years.

“It is amazing to see just how many people have come together to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research and treatment. The funds you have donated have a direct impact on the care of our patients as well as on our faculty and the research they conduct.”
